Contro il bavaglio, sempre più difficile sempre più necessario

Fa caldo, eppure c’è tantissima gente. L´argomento è scabroso, eppure l´atmosfera che si respira scalda il cuore. Tanti colleghi che si incontrano, tanti lettori che qui e li vogliono loro stringere la mano. Con sorpresa, tanti volti noti, e che pero non chiedetemi perchè, non ti aspetti di trovare ad una manifestazione sulla liberta di stampa. Cosi, se fai il giornalista da anni, scopri la struggente bellezza di esserti sentito solo unicamente perchè, giorno dopo giorno, qualcuno aveva lavorato ai fianchi per farti capire che la tua professione era solo uno dei tanti esempi di onanismo intellettuale. Invece ´non sei mai stato solo, davvero, invece scopri che la liberta di stampa esiste ed è davvero un qualcosa che rappresenta un vero valore condiviso.  C’è di tutto, in questa piazza, tanto che quasi non ci credi. Piazza Navona è stracolma all´ínverosimile, davvero tante sono le persone con i post-it gialli, tanti i ragazzi auto-imbavagliati e quelli  con una bandiera italiana sulla faccia. C’è un bambino con il nastro adesivo verde a croce sulla bocca. Ti giri e ti ritrovi davanti ad una donna con il cartello «intercettatemi ma non imbavagliatemi, tanto non so stare zitta!»,  la stessa che quando il sole è a picco su piazza Navona ha finalmente conquistato la prima fila sotto il palco. Fiera di esserci, come tanti,  per la manifestazione indetta dalla Federazione della Stampa. E mano a mano che il sole gira e se ne va, arriva la gente, i giovani e i non giovani. Arrabbiati, tutti, e anche molto colorati. Difficile contarli, circa ventimila persone si dice, nel via vai fino alle dieci di sera.

Alle otto sale sul palco Roberto Saviano, e il momento che scalda tutti:  te ne accorgi dall’ovazione. Lui, la voce che piano piano stenta a farsi sentie, ricorda:  «Non è vero che questa legge difende le telefonate dei fidanzati. L’unico scopo è impedire di conoscere quello che sta accadendo, che il potere venga raccontato». Difende solo «la privacy degli affari. Anzi, dei malaffari». Lo scrittore di Gomorra si è sentito «ferito» dall’elogio di Mangano ripetuto da Dell’Utri. Infine invita tutti a «resistere: una parola abusata come la parola amore». Invita tutti a smetterla di dire basta andando via. Occorre scendere in piazza e far vedere che si viuole esistere. Perchè «un’Italia diversa potrà crescere solo se iniziamo a sognarla».

 

 

 

Non vi è alcuna aspettativa di privacy da tutelare quando i fatti riguardano figure pubbliche, perché forniscono elementi in base ai quali l’opinione pubblica può controllare l’esercizio del potere e l’affidabilità di politici, burocrati, imprenditori.

Ma è dal pomeriggio che la piazza si ingrossa, minuto dopo minuto.  Alle cinque e mezza si parte con l’Inno di Mameli e con la lettura dell’Articolo 21 della Costituzione, recitato da Tiziana Ferrario che sul palco conduce con professionalità la miriade di interventi di associazioni, le testimonianze dei lavoratori, di Patrizia Aldovrandi e di Ilaria Cucchi che ricorda come «con questa legge non avremmo potuto mostrare le foto di mio fratello e il caso sarebbe stato archiviato». Dalla folla parte un urlo e un applauso quando Franco Siddi, segretario della Fnsi, denuncia la tutela della «casta». Roberto Natale, presidente della stessa federazione, annuncia: «Noi faremo una disobbedienza civile e professionale» se passerà questa legge «brutta e pericolosa» per la comunità «che ha diritto di essere informata». Partirà il ricorso alla Corte Europea di Strasburgo», come ripete anche Giulietti di Articolo21. Insomma, nessun bavaglio è possibile. Almeno per l´Ordine.

 

Molto applaudito anche l’intervento di Claudio Giardullo del Siulp, a nome dei sindacati di polizia, che denuncia: «Il lavoro di polizia e magistratura sarà molto più difficile». Sotto il palco un grande striscione: «La cultura è un diritto, una risorsa». Tante personalità dello spettacolo. Ottavia Piccolo, fedele al suo capello corto, bianco sul viso fresco, ricorda che «la legge bavaglio non riguarda solo i giornalisti, ma tutti i cittadini». Tante le bandiere, del Pd, dell’Idv, dell’Arci e di Legambiente, il Popolo Viola e la Valigia Blu. Ci sono i partigiani dell’Anpi. Un anziano regge un cartello, «A quando l’olio di ricino?». Lui se lo ricorda… Un altro in prima fila mostra la Costituzione. Un ragazzo palermitano si affida a «Santa Rosalia liberaci da Berlusconi». Ma Dario Fo al telefonato in diretta ironizza: «Ma no, non esagerate, non mostrate così tanto la vostra unità e forza, è un essere umano in fondo…». E lancia un contro slogan: «Ignoriamo Berlusconi. È un uomo solo, che sta perdendo i colpi, che viene tradito anche da chi ha più vicino. Aiutiamo un uomo perduto, non parliamo più di lui».

Un forte applauso arriva per la dichiarazione di Napolitano da Malta,quando  dal palco Stefano Rodotà esprime «gratitudine» al presidente che sobriamente «ci dice che questa legge non può essere approvata». Tiziana Ferrario comunica il tam tam delle altre piazze in Italia e non solo, da Parigi a Bruxelles. Da Roma la diretta è su RaiNews, Sky e YouDem. Fammoni della Cgil annuncia il sit in a Montecitorio il 29; scorrono le denunce su chi è stato «imbavagliato» per aver parlato di mafia, ricorda Agenda Rossa Borsellino, Roberto Morrione dichiara che «negli anni 90 la trattativa con la mafia fu condotta da ufficiali dello Stato, non da servizi deviati».

Il clima è allegro quanto accaldato, commuove la ballata di Marinella al piano di Danilo Rea, sul palco anche i Tête de bois. Giovanna Marini ha fatto cantare la piazza con il Coro dei benpensanti: «Vivere l’utopia sulle «veline indottrinate, avvocati fraudolenti e un governo che vuole un popolo ignorante». «Ho visto tante persone del centrodestra, arrabbiate con la legge, qualcosa sta cambiando», commenta Zanda del Pd, I politici si affollano nel retro palco: per Bersani il Pdl deve «ritirare il testo» e si appella a Fini perché sia coerente, nel voto, Rosy Bindi è sempre acclamata dalla folla, «Rosy, Rosy, dovete menare, in Parlamento…». E lei: «Non è che abbiamo paura di prenderle, è che in democrazia non si mena». Per Franceschini «i finiani faranno modifiche marginali per dire che è stata cambiata. Ma va ribaltata».

 

Con quali partiti, allora, si identifichera questa piazza a fine luglio? Questa sara un´altra battaglia di quelle senza prigionieri…

It’s hot, but there is yet a lot of people. The subject is thorny, yet the atmosphere warms the hearts. Many colleagues who meet, many readers who want them here and they shake hands. Surprisingly, many familiar faces, but which do not ask why, do not expect to find an event on freedom of the press.
